Aim

Showcase one of Brisbane’s most well known and interesting historical locations as well as facilitate fun, exploration, and collaboration to a large group. We thought the Brisbane Powerhouse would be an ideal location to host 155 players who knew very little of the area and provide a beautiful and exciting experience.

Brief

Altus NZ are a globally recognised manufacturing company and wanted their sales teams to experience a large scale, fun, team-building event during their multi day conference in Brisbane.

Solution

We ran five interactive stations each able to facilitate up to five teams at once:

  1. Graffiti Art
  2. Sling shot
  3. Newsroom

As well as three “planted” actors:

  1. Lost Tourist
  2. Art Collector
  3. Secret Agent

As well as a variety of hidden items to locate and identify to score points.

The variety and abundance of various games, activities, and challenges kept our teams busy, engaged, and working together in a race to earn the most points. Facilitating large groups is something we take seriously at Banana Life as there are multiple variables that must be taken into consideration as well as a flexibity to adapt to any concerns or difficulties in realtime.

Here is what the Altus NZ organisers had to say about the event:

“Our conference group and a fantastic afternoon of fun. It was a great way for them to get away from conferencing for an afternoon outdoors. The Banana Life team were so professional to work with and went above and beyond to ensure our afternoon was a success.”

“Amazing afternoon for our conference group to have some fun away from conferencing. Banana Life were so professional and a pleasure to work with on our event.”
