Case Study: Mangrove Housing – Spy Game

Company
Mangrove Housing

Aim

Create a fun and engaging experience to reward the Mangrove Housing team for their work throughout the year. Facilitate an experience that helps to draw people out of their introverted side and into having fun as a cohort.

Brief

The Mangrove Housing team facilitate low income housing assistance to people in need in the Brisbane CBD area. The company wanted to acknowledge the hard work of their team and give them a chance to have fun, be a little silly, and compete with each other.

Solution

We customised the Spy Game experience for their surrounding area. Teams had to explore their environment and learn crucial “espionage” skills. Teams were required to crack codes, find secret agents roaming about, look for hidden clues and earn points to save the day.

Not only did they have to solve problems but were also prompted to complete creative challenges such as swapping outfits to evade detection, crafting the ultimate spy tool, and crafting secret messages.

At the end of the game teams returned to the presentation room where there was a code that needed to be inputted into the computer to “save the day” from some cyber hackers. For this challenge they all had to work together to decode the final password. Needless to say they saved the day and everyone got cake.
