Top 5 Team Building Games in Brisbane

Team Building in Brisbane is Bananas!

Bright sunny days, blue skies, cold beverages, and bananas a plenty! Brisbane as an awesome city for team building because we can take full advantage of the beautiful weather, first class public spaces, and not to mention the selection of top tier private corporate venues on offer.

We, at Banana Life, are lucky to partner with some of the best venues this city has to offer and have worked with some of the largest global companies to provide team building that is fun, effective, and a little bit bananas. Here is a quick 5 list of the best team building games in Brisbane.

1. Bike Building

Bike building is so wholesome! It is one of our most charitable games here at Banana Life. Brisbane is perfect for a bike building team building activity because of the great outdoors areas and the amount of accessibility that the city’s infrastructure has to offer. Bike building not only helps members of teams work together to achieve a common goal but our bikes, in association with our partner charities*, actively help underprivileged minorities by giving them access and transport they otherwise would not be able to afford.

2. The Hustle

The Hustle, or Amazing Race, or Scavenger Hunt (it goes by many names) is one of our most popular games. Brisbane is an awesome city for this team building activity because of its multitude of activated public spaces and bright sunshine-y days! We love to run this one at Victoria Park because it has so many nooks and cranny’s as well as extracurricular activities like putt-putt and a driving range (broom broom).

3. Survivor

You’ve all seen the TV show (probably). Well it turns out that the team building version of it is actually AWESOME for teams (unlike the show where it seems to just break people). We love running this one on Tangalooma Island resort where the water is clear, the dolphins are nearby, the people are lovely and the worries of the city are behind us.

4. Mindfulness Game

Can you feel yourself relaxing already? We started up the Mindfulness game with The Open Mind Institute’s Paul Pitsaras, Paul being the lead facilitator and are so chuffed with this program. Brisbane is a great place to experience the mindfulness game because like any other city it fosters a survival of the fittest mentality. We have to hustle and bustle to work and make sure we don’t fall behind. But a little mindfulness goes a long way, and through it players discover that productivity, hard work, and satisfaction come from a place of calm and not from a place of hectic energy

5. Go Game

The Go Game is our secret sauce and we use it to run a variety of our games. It is a piece of software that helps us keep track of players, write challenges, collate content, and create incredible presentations that have our clients in stitches watching what other teams got up to during the games. The Go Game is a brilliant team building activity in Brisbane because Brisbane is a new world city and we’re fast catching up to the technological leaders of the world in terms of progressive delivery of product, design of experience, and quality of event.
