4 Virtual Team Building Activities

Virtual Team Building

Virtual team building, lifestyle, and culture are more important now than ever when it comes to working together as a cohesive team. We need to innovate to continue to allow culture to grow within the team and workplace, but it must be done in a way that does not feel forced.

We’ve curated a short list of virtual team building games and activities you can do to continue to grow culture remotely.

Jackbox TV

If you’re looking for something that is super fun, flashy, and has a diverse selection of games then Jackbox TV is a great resource. Designed as a series of party games, players watch a shared screen and complete challenges using a web browser and their smartphones. The party packs retail up to $20 and can be played through a Zoom meeting.

Jackbox TV is great for your team at the end of the week as a way to wind down, have a drink or two, and be silly together. It’s simple to use and you can share the home screen through a Zoom meeting to play remotely.

Online Meeting Bingo

For a simple DIY virtual team building game you can download the image and send it to your colleagues before your next Zoom meeting. The first person to fill in a line is the winner. Or checkout our friends over at Museum Hack for 37 virtual team building games for more ideas.

Kahoot Trivia

If you would like to be a little more involved and use a DIY approach then you can create your own KAHOOT trivia. Like Jackbox TV you can share the home screen for Kahoot in a Zoom meeting while players enter information remotely on their smartphone. It’s free, simple to use, and has a flashy UI.

Remote Team Building

If you’re looking for a more hands off approach then we offer a fully hosted, professionally developed, remote team building game. It was recently launched by our partners, The Go Game, in the US and we are the first (and only) to implement it in Australia.

A fully hosted, interactive, collaborative, competitive team based creative game.

Check out the video below to see the snazzy UI and easy-to-use interface. All that is needed is an internet connection, microphone, and speakers (or headphones) on your laptop or pc.

If you’d like more information on how to create, manage, and continue to grow remote workplace culture then head over to Atlassian as they have a huge selection of articles, links, and resources to help make virtual team building and remote work easy, effective, and sustainable.
